The 1756-OB8EI is an isolated ControlLogix electronically fused unit that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The module features 8-point individually isolated outputs that are electronically fused. The power voltage for the 1756-OB8EI is 12 to 24 Volts DC. It comes with an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts DC with the maximum output current rating-point of 2 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius. The maximum output current rating module for the 1756-OB8EI is 16 Amps at 55 degrees Celsius and 10 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius. The 1756-OB8EI comes with a maximum power dissipation of 4.7 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius.

The backplane current at 5 Volts is 250 mA while the backplane current at 24 Volts is 2 mA. The 1756-OB8EI also comes with 2 removable terminal blocks which are the 1756-TBCH and also the 1756-TBS6H. It has an isolation voltage of 50 Volts continuous and it can be located in any slot on the chassis. The 1756-OB8EI has an output delay time of a maximum of 1 minute from the off-state to on-state and a maximum of 5 milliseconds from the “on” and “off ” states. The recommended operating temperature range for the 1756-OB8EI is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius while the storage temperature range for the 1756-OB8EI is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The recommended maximum surrounding air temperature for the 1756-OB8EI is 60 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity level at 5% minimum and 95% maximum. The 1756-OB8EI comes with various features including electronic fusing, a configurable point-level output state, multiple output densities, and also non-isolated varieties of output modules.
