The Allen Bradley 1756-OF6CI 8-Point Analog DC Output Module is a current loop Analog DC 8-point output module in the controlLogix family of high speed I/O modules, which provides shared high-speed output signals between multiple ControlLogix Controllers. This module is installed on the Controller chassis and requires a removable terminal block or a fused interface module (IFM) for installation and all field-side wiring. The 1756-OF6CI has 6 individually isolated 13-bits outputs, with 0 to 21 milliAmpere low signal and high signal user count outputs. This module draws 250 milli-Ampere chassis current at 5.1 Volt DC and 225 milli-Ampere currents at 24 volt DC, and it has a total backplane power of 6.7 Watts at 0 to 550 Ohms load and 8.5 Watts backplane power a 551 to 1000 Ohms load. The 1756-OF6CI unlike most 1756 I/O modules do not have open circuit detection capability, but it provides 24 Volt DC overvoltage protection and also provides short-circuit protection by electronically limiting the output current to 21 milli-Ampere or less. This module requires field calibration once every 6 months of use, and it can be calibrated to an accuracy of 0.01% over 4 to 21 milli-Ampere operating range.

It has maximum offset drift of 1 micro-Ampere per degree Celsius, with a maximum gain drift of 100ppm per degree Celsius, and this module produces a high-speed output signal with less than 0.6% module error. It has a maximum scan time of 25 milliseconds for floating point data format, and 10 milliseconds for integer data format, and it provides easy conversion between data format via R-Ladder DAC converter. The 1756-OF6CI has 250 Volt isolation voltage between the output channel to the backplane, using basic insulation tested at 1350 volt AC for 2 seconds. It is electronically keyed to the chassis via digital control to ensure precision, and it is keyed to the removable terminal block (RTB) via mechanical mode. It is designated T4A North America, and T4 IEC rated temperature code, and it has a functioning temperature limit of 0 to 60 degree Celsius (32 to 140 degree Fahrenheit) at non-condensing 5% to 95% relative humidity range. The 1756-OF6CI has no rated enclosure, and it is UL, CSA, CE, EX, C-TICK, FM, and KC certified.
