The 1756-OF8 is a powerful Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Analog Output that is designed to offer optimal performance for various industrial applications. It is outfitted with 8 voltage-current (V/A) analog outputs and it provides short-circuit protection. The module’s output rating is either ± 10 Volts or 0 to 20 milliamps (mA) while its signal resolution across 21 milliamps or 10.4 Volts is 15-bits. Its backplane current at 24 Volts DC is 210 milliamps and 150 milliamps at 5.1 Volts DC. The 1756-OF8 circuit’s maximum power consumption is 5.8 Watts. There is also a circuit detection feature that offers an over-voltage protection rated at 24 Volts DC as well as a short-circuit protection capability that is achieved by electronically limiting the current level to 21 milliamps or less. The voltage-current settling time is 2 milliseconds and its calibration accuracy is 0.05%. Remember, this module’s calibration interval is usually 12 months (1 year).

When operational, the 1756-OF8 has a scan time of 8 milliseconds for an integer and 12 milliseconds for a floating point. Its overall module error is 0.15% (in voltage mode), and 0.3% (in current mode). This analog output also comes with an insulation voltage of 250 Volts and it uses a reinforced insulation 1350 Volts AC (VAC) tested for 2 seconds between the backplane and its output channels. It has the T4A (North America), T4 (IEC), and the T4 (ATEX), temperature codes and it is housed in an open-type enclosure. The 1756-OF8 is designed to operate at a 30G shock rate and a 2G vibration rate of 10 to 500 Hertz. Its operational temperature varies from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. It is suitable for use in virtually all industrial applications. The Allen-Bradley analog output module offers high performance, optimal efficiency, and reliability.
