The 1771-NB4T is a PLC5 high-resolution analog combination module by Allen-Bradley that is located in one of the slots of the 1771 chassis. As an intelligent I/O module, the 1771-NB4T has 2 thermocouples per mV inputs and two isolated 4-20mA outputs. The 1771-NB4T module belongs to the N-Series of the Analog I/O modules and it also has selectable thermocouple input ranges of various types and with different ranges for the input temperature. The types for the +/-105mV thermocouple input ranges are B, J, E, R, S, and T and the input resolution is 3.3µV/bit. The display resolution of the 1771-NB4T module is 0.01mV/0.1oC and the inputs for the modules are designed to use both Celsius and Fahrenheit gauges. The 1771-NB4T module offers a detection that is upscale, open-circuit, and has a maximum thermocouple leakage current that is less than 10nA. The 1771-NB4T I/O module also offers protection for an overvoltage for up to 140V and the mode rejection is set at 50dB/60dB and 150dB for the normal and common mode, respectively.

The recommended operating temperature range for the 1771-NB4T I/O module is 32-140oF at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 1771-NB4T module can be keyed through pins 26, 28, 32, and 34 at its backplane current which is set as 1.5A. Since 1771-NB4T module is an analog module, it uses the natural binary or BDC data format and this 1771-NB4T product comes with a wiring arm called the 1771-WH for easy disconnection while replacing the module on the chassis. The 1771-NB4T module is rack mountable and the typical signal delay during the off-state ranges between 30-60ms while on AC and it is 50ms on DC.
