The 1771-OYC is a spare part manufactured and designed by Allen-Bradley to be used with the 1771 series of digital I/O AC input and output modules. This spare part consists of a contact output module. The Allen-Bradley 1771-OYC contact output module has an operating voltage that ranges from 0 to 250 Volts AC and from 0 to 175 Volts DC. It has a maximum voltage per output of 30 Volts at 138 Volts AC and 20 Volts at 125 Volts DC. This module also features a backplane current of 550 Milliamperes. The Allen-Bradley 1771-OYC contact output module features a dry-reed type. These relays are widely known for its speed level and they are ideal for low-voltage and low-power applications. Even though they offer a lot of benefits, these cannot be used when surge currents are a threat since their design is made for low-voltage operations only. If this premise is dismissed, the contact output module might suffer irreversible damages.

The environmental conditions for the Allen-Bradley 1771-OYC contact output module are a maximum operating temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, when operating at lower temperatures the life of the contact output can be highly extended. It is recommended to prevent environments with contaminants like acid, ammonia, among others. Some of the benefits provided by the Allen-Bradley 1771-OYC contact output module are that it provides output isolation, which helps assure that a failure on one circuit does not extend to another circuit and it protects the backplane logic from line transients; it increases flexibility in applied voltages and switch analog signals through relays. The shipping weight of the entire module is 3 kilograms.
