GE Fanuc

GE Fanuc PLCs allow total migration from the original General Electric Series Six PLC to the Series 90-30, Series 90-70 and finally to the Rx3i Rx7i Pacsystems. GE Fanuc programming software was formally known as Cimplicity but now uses the family name of Proficy Machine Edition as well as PE for the HMI. Intellution FIX32, iFix and i Historian were all converted to the GE Fanuc family of software named Proficy.
Series 90-30
The GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC system is made up of a rack, power supply and CPU. The most common CPU used in the GE Series 90-30 is IC693CPU364 which includes an Ethernet connection as well as 240K memory. The IC693ACC301 and IC693ACC302 battery connects directly to the IC693PWR321 or IC693PWR330 power supply.
Series 90-70
The GE Series 90-70 was introduced in 1988 as a full funtions PLC system. It utilized the IC697CPU782 processor which soon became the IC697CPX782 CPU. The new processors no longer needs the IC697MEM715, IC697MEM719, IC697MEM731, IC697MEM733 or IC697MEM735 memory modules. The new IC697CMM742 Ethernet controller eliminates the older IC697CMM741 which needed the transceiver.
Genius I/O
GE Fanuc Genius I/O blocks were designed in 1986. Genius Blocks inteface to the GE Series 6 PLC with the IC660CBB902 and IC660CBB903 bus controller. Other GE PLC systems that communicate with Genius I/O are Series 9030 IC693BEM331, Series 90-70 IC697BEM731 and IC697BEM733, Series Five IC655BEM510, Rx3i IC694BEM331and Rx7i Ic697BEM731.
