The Allen-Bradley 1788-DNBO Logix5000 DeviceNet Communication Card is a DeviceNet scanner module daughtercard from the Logix 5000 control system. This scanner module interfaces the FlexLogix control platform to the DeviceNet network for enhanced device-level control. The Allen-Bradley network daughtercard architecture provides a common hardware and software interface solution that simultaneously supports several network interface cards and with a single network card can support several Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation networks. This 1788-DNBO DeviceNet Daughtercard also provides the FlexLogix platform with high-speed, high-precision DeviceNet monitoring, configuration, and I/O scan capabilities. The 1788-DNBO Communication Card belongs to the Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 control family, and it can be installed on any DeviceNet host devices.

The 1788-DNBO Communication Card is connected to the FlexLogix backplane, and it draws 20 milliamps of maximum backplane current at 24.0 Volts DC and 260 milliamps at 5.0 Volts DC. It has a maximum power rating of 0.48 Watts at 24 Volts DC and a maximum power dissipation rating of 6.1 BTU per hour. The 1788-DNBO Communication Card can be integrated into the Allen-Bradley Logix control environment by using the RSLogix 5000 V12 configuration software (Firmware Version 2.002 or later). This DeviceNet scanner module offers automatic module configuration upon integration into the Logix control environment, and it also has FlexLogix data backup, auto scan, and quick-connect features. The 1788-DNBO Communication Card has 3 network channels (0, 1, and 2) with 125 Kilobaud, 250 Kilobaud, and 500 Kilobaud baud rate,s respectively. These baud rates can be assigned manually via a hardware push-wheel on the board. The 1788-DNBO Communication Card has a 124 double integer (DINT) input area and a 123 DINTs output data area.

The Allen-Bradley 1788-DNBO Logix 5000 DeviceNet Communication Card is a DeviceNet scanner module card from the Logix 5000 control system. This module has a 24.0 Volts DC voltage requirement, 260 milliamps of maximum current draw at 5.0 Volts DC, and an IP 00 rated enclosure.
