The 1762-IF2OF2 is a MicroLogix expansion combination analog Input and Output module. This module is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1100, MicroLogix 1200 and MicroLogix 1400 controllers. This module features Two (2) Differential analog input channels, capable of receiving 0-10VDc or 4-20 mA signal. It also has Two (2) Single-Ended analog outputs providing 0-10VDC and 4-20 mA signal. This analog input module has a full-scale range of 0-10.5VDC and 0-21mA with resolution of 12 bits in unipolar mode. It has a built-in analog to digital circuitry using successive approximation as the moduleÕs conversion mode. Each channel has an overall accuracy of ±0.55% full scale at -20É65 ¡C (-4 ¡FÉ149 ¡F) and ±0.3% full scale at 25 ¡C (77 ¡F). The analog input channels are typically used for integrating measuring instruments such as Transmitters, Transducers, Indicators and other devices. These input channels support different sensor types such as 2-Wire and 3-Wire Transmitters where a 24VDC power supply connected in series provides power to the loop and 4-Wire transmitters where and independent power supply is used to energize the transmitter only to provide the specific analog signal. The analog output channels also has a full-scale range of 0-10.5VDC and 0-21mA with a Digital to Analog conversion type of Resistor String. The analog output channels has typical overall accuracy of ± 1.17% full scale @ -20É65 ¡C (-4 ¡FÉ149 ¡F) and ±0.5% full scale @ 25 ¡C (77 ¡F). When used with MicroLogix 1100, up to Four (4) 1762-IF2OF2 may be used. If used with MicroLogix 1200, up to Six (6) modules may be used and Seven (7) 1762-IF2OF2 may be used with MicroLogix 1400. This module measures of 90 x 40.4 x 87 mm (3.54 x 1.59 x 3.43 in.) Height including mounting tabs is 110 mm (4.33 in) and weighs 240g (0.53 lbs.). Similar to other 1762 Modules, the 1762-IF2OF2 combination module requires 50.88 mm or 2 inches clearance on all sides to promote natural air flow and cooling. This combination module has an internal switch for setting the input signal type. The switch is located on the circuit board. This switch is accessible through the ventilation slots on the top of the module. Switch 1 is intended to configure channel One (1) while Switch 2 is used to set Channel Two (2). On both channels, at Switch position OFF, signal type is set to Voltage while Current when switch is in ON position. When the module is delivered, the default setting is ON which is Current signal type. Output signal type is configured through the configuration file, accessible via the programming software. This module requires to be configured in the I/O configuration section of the RSLogix 500 Programming software. When configured successfully, the input channels of this module occupy Six (6) Words of Input data, configurable for Raw / Proportional format and Scaled for PID format. Another Six (6) Words is allocated for output data file configurable for the same data format.
