The 1762-IQ32T is an expansion module compatible for use with MicroLogix 1100, 1200 and 1400 Controller. This module is a High-density input module with Thirty-Two (32) channels supporting sinking and sourcing wiring configuration with each channel operating at voltage range of 10-26.4V DC or 10-30V DC. This module had Four (4) input groups, with Eight (8) channels each group. This enables each group to be independently wired in any of the 2 supported configurations and provide isolation. This module is typically used to integrate switching devices, supporting 2 positions only, ON and OFF. Signaling devices such as switches, sensors, auxiliary contacts, and other electrical and electronic components are compatible with this module. Input group 1 is composed of channels 0, 1, ,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7; Group 2 is made of channels 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15; Groups 3 has channels 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 and input group 4 is composed of channels 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. This module uses a pre-assembles connector with catalog number 1746-N3. This wire is a Forty (40) pin female connector and crimp type pins. One end of the connector is a keyed female that aligns to the moduleÕs Keyed male MIL-C-083503 connector. The other end of the cable are flying leads that may be may be terminated to terminal blocks and Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Similar to other 1762 Expansion I/O modules, the 1762-IQ32T has a rackless design with integrated that connects to other modules or the base MicroLogix module using a flat ribbon cable. MicroLogix 1100 supports installation of up to Four (4) 1762 Expansion modules, Six (6) with MicroLogix 1200 and Seven (7) for MicroLogix 1400. This quantity of supported modules allows combination of different module a single type of module only. This arrangement depends mainly on the system requirement. The required configuration software used with this module is RSLogix 500 programming software. This is the same programming software used with the MicroLogix Controller product family and SLC 500 controller series. The RSLogix 500 programming software supports ladder programming language. It supports operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 operating systems. This module requires I/O configuration definition. Once defined in the configuration interface, input parameters are accessible and corresponding software data files may be viewed which represent each 32 channels of the module. The corresponding data file start with Slot 1 as Slot 0 is reserved for the embedded channels of any MicroLogix Controller. The 1762-IQ32T input channelÕs ON signal delay is 8.0 ms while OFF signal delay is 8.0 ms while the minimum ON state voltage is 10VDC and maximum OFF state voltage is 5VDC. The module is energized through the backplane with a current draw of 170 mA @ 5V DC and 0 mA @ 24VDC. Use wire size ranging from 22, 24, 26 AWG solid or stranded copper wire rated @ 90¡C (194 ¡F).
