The 1762-L24BXBR is a MicroLogix 1200 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This hardware, manufactured by Allen-Bradley is designed to fit tight spaces, ideal for automating industrial applications. The embedded features of this controller is capable of controlling discrete control loops, whether in manual or automatic mode. It may be used in motor control applications, electro-pneumatic controls, migration of conventional electrical panels to solid-state, microprocessor based control which are common components of processes and machine automation. The 1762-L24BXBR is designed with a variety of input and output types particularly Ten (10) 24VDC standard inputs, Four (4) Fast 24VDC inputs, Five (5) Relay outputs, Four (4) 24VDC FET and One (1) High-speed output channels. This combination of I/O types allows the controller in a much broader of scope. The standard inputs may be used in typical applications, while the fast inputs are compatible for high-speed counting applications in the manufacturing industry, in metering system applications for totalizing applications and integration of field devices with fast switching frequency. The relay outputs are already a flexible set of outputs, being compatible with 5-125VDC or 120/240VAC electrical loads while the FET output channels can provide 24VDC outputs with an operating range of 20.6-26.4 VDC. It is also installed with a single High-speed output which allow the controller to retransmit the signal and act as a metering device itself. The 1762-L24BXBRÕs physical dimensions are 90 mm, and 104 mm with DIN latch open for Height, Width of 110 mm, and Depth of 87 mm. Install the controller to a DIN rail or directly to a panel. The controller supports automatic loading of a program from a non-volatile memory by separately purchasing 1762-MM1 Memory Module, 1762-MM1RTC Memory Module. If intended to use for an accurate time and date automation application, add a Real-Time Clock module with catalog number 1762-RTC or 1762-MM1RTC. This controller is also provided with an 8-Pin mini DIN RS232 / RS485 combo port that supports DH485, DF1 Full-Duplex, DF1 Half Duplex, DF1 Radio Modem, MODBUS Master / Slave and ASCII protocols. RS232 is designed for peer-to-peer communication, commonly used for programming actions such as upload, download, test, online edits of user program. This port may also be used to communication with communication with partner electronic devices.
