The 1762-L40AWA conforms with the MicroLogix 1200 rackless and practical design as it supports DIN rail and Panel Mounting. It does not require a separately installed backplane as this is already installed within the controllerÕs housing. To distribute power to expansion modules, the controller provides power via the provided flat ribbon cable. Compatible DIN rail for this controller is EN50022-35x7.5 or EN50022-35x15 DIN rails. It may be installed with DIN Rail end anchors for minimizing the effect of vibration and shock. This module is also designed with mounting screws to allow direct installation to a mounting plate for better resistance to vibration and shock. The controllerÕs operating shock is 30G; 3 pulses each direction, each axis while operating vibration is 10 to 500 Hz, 5G, 0.030 in. max. peak-to-peak, 2 hours each axis.
The 1762-L40AWA is also provided with trim potentiometers with value range of 0-250. Trim potentiometers may be used to modify internal registers, used in mathematical calculations or used as operatorÕs local control interface.
This controller is configured and programmed with Aleen-Bradley programming software RSLogix 500, that is not only compatible with all MicroLogix controllers but is also used as the programming software of the SLC 500 Programmable Logic Controller product family.
