The 1762-OV32T is a Thirty-Two (32) channel sinking output module. This High-Density output module is part of the 1762 MicroLogix product family that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The solid-state component of this module reduces electrical noise, has faster switching time, no mechanical moving parts, and more efficient operation. This module saves an important MicroLogix slot as it is equivalent to Four (4) 8-channel output, Two (2) 16-Channel output modules. MicroLogix 1100 only supports up to Four (4) expansion I/O module, Six (6) expansion module and up to Seven (7) expansion modules. With the density of I/O included in a small housing, this module is provided with 1746-N3 termination cable. Included with this sinking output module are Two (2) output groups. Output group 1 includes output channels 0-15 and output group 2 is composed of the remaining output channels, 16-31. The output channels provide 24VDC via sink wiring configuration within an operating voltage range of 10.2 - 26.4 VDC. With sink wiring configuration, the module is terminated to the instrument field wires, connected to the moduleÕs +DC terminal which is shorted to the external power supplyÕs +DC terminal. The external power supplyÕs -DC is shorted to the moduleÕs -DC terminal while individual channel terminals connect to the -DC port of the electrical load. In simpler terms, sink wiring configuration uses the +DC as the common terminal. Thirty-Two (32) point output channels are provided with 40-pin female connector and crimp type pins. These wiring components are put together to form a connector unit. The primary intended use of this connector is to enable quick connection and efficient wiring system. The other end of this module are flying leads that may be connected to marshalling terminal blocks or other wiring components. Use 22...26 AWG wire and strip at a maximum length of 4 mm or 5/32 inches. Insert the stripped wire individually to the wire barrel and solder together using lead-free solder and soldering pencil. This module is a 32-bit module, stored in the output data file, accessible via RSLogix 500 Programming software. Each bit in the output data file are writeable bits which can be modified via the actual triggering of the field instruments or I/O forcing which is a common operation during testing and commissioning phase even, during maintenance activities. The moduleÕs physical dimension is 90 x 40.4 x 87 mm or 3.54 x 1.59 x 3.43 in. with a shipping weight 200 g (7.05 oz).
