The 1762-OX6I is a MicroLogix expansion module with individually isolated, Form C contact outputs. This controller has Six (6) output channels, operating at voltage ranges of 5-125VDC and 5-265 VAC. The 1762-OX6I also features high-current capacity with maximum point current of 7.0A at 24VDC, 0.4A at 125VDC, 7.0A at 120VAC and 5.0A at 240VAC operation. The maximum Current per module are 30A for 24VDC operation, 2.4A for 125VDC, 12A for 120VAC and 12A for 240VAC operation. With these features, this module is capable of directly energizing or actuating electrical loads with high current requirement, especially inductive loads. Form C contact outputs are simply a pair of Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts, with a single common terminal. When an output is triggered via the user program, the contacts change position to energize or de-energize a connected load. One of the advantages of this module is that it can actuate Two different outputs per output channel. Protect each channel of the module by installing surge suppressors across loads, especially inductive devices. These devices tend to have a high-inrush current rating which may exceed the contact current rating. This module is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1100, MicroLogix 1200 and MicroLogix 1400 controllers. Up to Four (4) 1762-OX6I may be installed with MicroLogix 1100, Six (6) MicroLogix 1200 and Seven (7) MicroLogix 1400 controller. Similar to other module, this expansion module requires 2-inch clearance on all sides of the module to ensure adequate air flow to protect the module from overheating. Install this module to an enclosure that offers adequate protection from water ingress and entry of dust and dirt. Additionally, the enclosure vibration and shock must not exceed 10É500 Hz, 0.030 in. max. peak-to-peak and 30 g respectively. This module supports DIN rail installation, using DIN rails that measure 35 x 7.5 mm (EN 50 022 - 35 x 7.5) or 35 x 15 mm (EN 50 022 - 35 x 15). If installed to a DIN rail, additional DIN rail anchors to suppress shock and vibration may be used. Aside from installation to a DIN rail, this module also supports direct panel mounting via the provided mounting tabs. Another advantage of this module lies with the individual channel isolation. With this type of isolation, each channel may be operated with different voltage ranges. This adds flexibility to the module as it can be used with processes where electrical loads are operated with different voltage levels. As the 1762-OW8 is an electronic device, avoid electrostatic discharge from damaging the module. Prevent this from happening by properly handling the module. Do not touch the electronic parts of the module, touch a grounded object before holding or working with the module, wear a protective suit with grounded wrist-strap. Also avoid placing the module to an ungrounded flat surface. Retain the anti-static packaging so that the module may be returned to its packaging with an anti-static protection in place. During operation, never perform installation or uninstallation of any module while input power supply is active. Failure to follow the prohibited action may create an electric arc and damage the module and nearby components.
