This base unit is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1500 processors specifically 1764-LSP and 1764-LRP. This base unit also contains the DIN rail mounting anchors and the panel mounting tabs for direct panel mounting. The communication port provide with this base unit is an 8-Pin mini DIN port, supporting DF1 Half and Full duplex, MODBUS master and slave, ASCII and DH485. Compatible communication cables for this communication port are 1761-CBL-PM02 Series C or later, 2707-NC8 Series B or later, 1761-CBL-HM02 Series C or later 2707-NC9 Series B or later,1761-CBL-AM00 Series C or later, 2707-NC10 Series B or later, 1761-CBL-AP00 Series C or later 2707-NC11 Series B or later,1761-CBL-PH02 Series A or later, and 1761-CBL-AH02 Series A or later. These communication cables may be locally fabricated. The default communication parameters are Baud Rate of 19.2 K, Parity set to none, Source ID (Node Address) set to 1, Control Line set to no handshaking, Error Detection set to CRC, Embedded Responses at auto detect, Duplicate Packet (Message) Detect enabled, ACK Timeout at 50 counts, NAK retries at 3 retries, ENQ retries at 3 retries and Stop Bits set to 1. Prevent excessive heat from building up within the enclosure by installing appropriate climate control components such as blowers and fans. Follow the required installation clearance of 2-inches on all sides of the controller to allow the adequate air flow. The integrated inputs with the base unit are Eight (8) Standard 24VDC and Eight (8) Fast 24VDC. With the fast input, the module is capable of being used in metering systems or high-speed counter applications. The embedded output channels are Six (6) Relay, and 2 isolated relays per unit, Four (4) Standard 24V dc FET, and Two (2) Fast 24V dc FET. With the variety of outputs, the controller may be used with different types of output devices. The operating frequency of the Fast input and output are 20kHz. Although this is a base unit, the controller must be defined in the hardware configuration using RSLogix 500 or RSLogix Micro programming software.
