The Allen-Bradley 1764-RTC is a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module that provides an accurate year, month, day of month, day of week, hour, minute, and second reference for implementing time and date-based automation to implement scheduled run of equipment and devices. This type of automation is commonly used in combination with continuous automated process. Typical applications can be found in duplex or triplex pump and motor setup and equipment in Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) applications. It helps in the equal distribution of operating runtime among units, may be used in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance and align operation of these equipment and devices based on the peak and non-peak operation profile of the plant. This contributes in the overall productivity, which in turn maximizes opportunities for profit generation. The RTC module has an accuracy depending on the operating temperature. Aa of 0 ¡C or +32 ¡F, accuracy is +34 to -70 seconds/month. For +25 ¡C or +77 ¡F, accuracy is +36 to -68 seconds/month, for +40 ¡C or +104 ¡F, rated accuracy is +29 to -75 seconds/month and at +55 ¡C or +131 ¡F, accuracy is -133 to -237 seconds/month. This address is set when the battery charge is low.
