The 1756-A17 is a ControlLogix I/O Chassis Based Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley under the ControlLogix Series. The module comes with 17-slot ControlLogix Chassis and has 6.1 Watts of power dissipation. The 1756-A17 has 1.8 Watts power consumption and a maximum backplane current of 1.5 Amps at 1.2 Volts DC, 4 Amps at 3.3 Volts DC, 15 Amps at 5.1 Volts DC, and 2.8 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The 1756-A17 communication system is made of EtherNet/IP networks and also makes use of the ControlNet networks. The 1756-A17 has a standard chassis that includes inherent time stamping capabilities for the some applications. Each of the modules within the chassis receives the power distributed by the chassis backplane. This happens because of the high-speed communication path between the modules.

The relative humidity is usually 5 to 95% non-condensing. When mounting the 1756-A17 ControlLogix with a standard power supply, it is important to ensure that the spacing requirements are followed.
