The 1756-EN2T is a communication module from the 1756 ControlLogix product line by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The module is a copper EtherNet/IP bridge supporting up to 256 Logix connections. Like other modules from the ControlLogix family, this module also has a communication rate of 10/100 megabits per second and a 30 Volts (continuous) isolation voltage. Furthermore, the isolation voltage has the basic insulation type, Ethernet to Backplane/USB to Backplane/USB to Ethernet connections, and it is type-tested at 980 Volts AC for 60 seconds. In addition, the 1756-EN2T communication module has a 1.0 Amp current draw at 5.1 Volts DC and a power dissipation of 6.2 Watts. Also, the 1756-EN2T model has a thermal dissipation of 17.4 BTU per hour. This communication module with a single slot width can be found as part of the chassis and it does not require a special slot place.

The 1756-EN2T module is designed for and works perfectly with ControlLogix chassis and both standard and redundant power supplies. Chassis models that can be used with this communication module are the 1756-A4/A7/A10/A13 and –A17. In addition, the module has 1 RJ45 Category 5 Ethernet port and a USB 1.1 port with full speed at 12 megabits per second. The module does not have a rated enclosure since it is an open-type device, and its operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The storage temperature of the module ranges from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) and it operates in environments with a non-condensing relative humidity of 5 to 95%. Also, the 1756-EN2T communication module can withstand 2 grams at 10 to 500 Hertz vibration and 30 g of shock when operating. The module is certified according to various standards for controllers and similar industrial equipment. The included certifications include the c-UL-us, CE, CSA, RCM, FM, Ex, EAC, KC and EtherNet/IP standards.
