The 1756-IH16ISOE is a 16-point digital input module from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The 1756-IH16ISOE uses either the 1756-TBCH (36-pin cage clamp) or the 1756-TBS6H (36-pin spring clamp) removable terminal block to connect the module with I/O modules. The module can operate with a maximum voltage of 140 Volts DC and with 90 Volts DC minimum. The inputs for the 1756-IH16ISOE apply the sequence of events and the 1756-IH16ISOE is part of the ControlLogix systems. The module operates at a maximum ambient temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The 1756-IH16ISOE digital input module has a conducted RF immunity of 10 Volts RMS when the sine wave has a frequency of 1 kilohertz. Additionally, for the input delays, the 1756-IH16ISOE supports an OFF/ON firmware scan time of 25 microseconds (maximum), a filter time ranging from 0 to 50 milliseconds, and a normal hardware delay of 10 microseconds (20 microseconds maximum).
The ON/OFF scan times for the 1756-IH16ISOE are identical to the OFF/ON ratings. However, the hardware delay times for the ON/OFF operation are 75 microseconds maximum and 50 microseconds normal. The module dissipates 5.5 watts at 60 degrees Celsius and 17.2 BTU per hour. The 1756-IH16ISOE consumes a total of 1.3 watts from the backplane. The module has an input impedance of 74.8 kiloohms and has an isolation voltage of 250 Volts (continuous) tested for 2 seconds at a voltage of 1350 Volts AC. The isolation covers input-to-backplane and input-to-input. The 1756-IH16ISOE has maximum off and on state currents of 0.3 mA and 1.85 mA, respectively. The 1756-IH16ISOE’s change-of-state is software-configurable and it has a +/-100 microseconds timestamp at the inputs.
