The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a temperature sensing analog module. It has 6 inputs and it is an analog RTD and thermocouple module, equipped with the channels isolated and it has 1 CJC. It needs either the 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH detachable terminal block frame, or RTB, before attaching it to a chassis. There is also a sensor accuracy of +/-0.3-3.2 degrees Celsius, subject to the channel, for the local CJC and one of +/-0.3 degrees Celsius for the remote CJC. Some of the features of the 1756-IT6I module are real-time sampling, a notch filter, multiple input ranges, 10-ohm offset, under-range/over-range detection, process alarms, a digital filter, a rate alarm, wire-off detection, an input signal to user count conversion, a sensor type, wire length calculations, and temperature units. The operator has the option of choosing from two different data formats with the 1756-IT6I, and they are the integer mode or floating point mode.
There are multiple input ranges of this module and these are -12 to 78 millivolts and -12 to 30 millivolts which are for a high-resolution range. Besides, the 1756-IT6I comes with a 16-bit resolution with 1.4 microvolts per bit the typical range on -12 to 78 millivolts and 0.7 microvolts per bit the high-resolution range on 12 to 30 millivolts. The module has 120 Volts AC/DC maximum overvoltage protection. The 1756-IT6I has a thermocouple linearization of the ITS-90. The module comes in thermocouple types including B, J, R E, K, T, S, N, C, D, and L (TXK/XK).The 1756-IT6I module is also equipped with a noise rejection feature. When set to normal mode, it is 60 dB at 60 Hertz, when set to common mode, it is either 120 dB at 60 Hertz or 100 dB at 50 Hertz. It comes with an open circuit detection time which assures the users of positive full-scale reading in 2 seconds. It has a module scan time of 25 milliseconds minimum floating point (millivolts), of 10 milliseconds minimum integer (millivolts), and of 50 milliseconds floating point (temperature). The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I has a module error of 0.5% of the range and the module conversion method is Sigma-Delta.
