The 1756-IV32 is an Allen-Bradley authentic digital input module that comes with 32 inputs, arrange in 2 groups of 16 inputs. The 1756-IV32’s change of state feature and its input filter can be configured using the RS-based Logix 500 software. The module can be used with the ControlLogix 1756 chassis. The module’s maximum input impedance is estimated at 8.6 kΩ at 30 Volts DC. The 1756-IV32’s backplane input delay times are in the following order: ON to OFF (a hardware delay of 540 microseconds to a maximum of two milliseconds) and from OFF to ON (a hardware delay of 350 microseconds to a maximum 1 milliseconds). Remember, when the unit is OFF, the maximum current it can draw is 1.5 mA. Also, in this OFF-state, it can only use a maximum voltage of about 5 Volts DC.
