The 1756-L1M1 is an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix controller that belongs to the ControlLogix 555 series. Though this controller does not have any nonvolatile memory, it does come with 500 KB of data and logic memory in addition to 150 KB of  I/O memory. The 1756-L1M1 is extremely portable, weighing about 12.5 ounces or 0.35 kilograms. Users can install the controller in any available chassis slot. Plus, this powerful Allen-Bradley controller comes with an open-style enclosure rating. The module is equipped with a replaceable battery. However, its battery can only be replaced with a 0.59 g lithium battery known as the 1756-BA1. Also, the 1756-L1M1 is only compatible with the 1756-CP3 serial cable rated at category 3. The 1756-L1M1 has a 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity range, and its operating temperature is about 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. For optimal functionality, this controller should be stored at a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

The 1756-L1M1 features a backplane temp of 950 mA at 5.1 Volts and 20 mA at 24 Volts. The power rating of this unit is 5.33 Watts while its average power dissipation is 4.6 Watts. Moreover, the 1756-LIMI’s average thermal dissipation is estimated to be 15.6 BTU/hour. The 1756-L1M1’s vibration is between 10 and 500 Hertz with a 2.0 G maximum peak acceleration. Additionally, this unit’s operating shock is 30 G peak for 11 milliseconds. The 1756-L1M1 should be stored in a setting featuring a shock level of not more than 50 G for 11 milliseconds while its isolation voltage is 30 Volts. Also, if an industrial application is demanding in terms of the voltage used, this Allen-Bradley module has been tested to comfortably withstand up to 500 Volts for 60 seconds. The 1756-L1M1 features an ESD contact discharge immunity of 6 kV. Plus, it comes with an ESD air discharge immunity of 8 kV. This makes it one of the most dependable modules for all industrial needs.
