The Allen-Bradley 1756-L63XT ControlLogix controller is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is designed to survive and work in the most extreme temperatures. The 1756-L63XT controller can also be referred to as an extreme environment ControlLogix controller because its maximum operating temperature is higher than other controllers. The operating temperature of the 1756-L63XT ranges between -25 and 70 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature for this controller is between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. It features an extreme surrounding air temperature of approximately 70 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, the maximum surrounding air temperature lessens slightly when the 1756-A7LXT chassis is used with the Allen-Bradley 1756-L63XT controller. This range is between -25 and 60 degrees Celsius. When this controller is used with any products in the FLEX I/O-XT series, its capability is between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius, which is approximately 5 degrees Celsius colder than when the Allen-Bradley 1756-L63XT ControlLogix controller is used without any other products.

The Allen-Bradley 1756-L63XT features communication options including DeviceNet, ControlNet, SynchLink, Remote I/O, Data Highway Plus, EtherNet/IP, and the third-party process networks as well as device networks. This controller also has some serial port communications options which are the DF1 full/half-duplex, DF1 radio modem, ASCII, Modbus through logic, and the ASCII options. The Allen-Bradley 1756-L63XT ControlLogix controller comes with 8 MB of memory space as well as 478 KB I/O memory. There is also a choice for working with an optional nonvolatile memory, but users can only use either 128 MB CompactFlash memory cards (the 1784-CF128) or 64 MB cards (1784-CF64). This controller also comes with 1 RS-132 serial inbuilt communication port. This ControlLogix chassis is compatible with controllers such as the 1756-A7XT, 1756-A7LXT, 1756-A5XT, and the 1756-A4LXT. Each of the 1756-L63XT controllers comes with a total of 128,000 I/O and a maximum of 4000 analog I/O. it features 3 key controller tasks, which include event tasks and 100 programs per task and all event triggers. The controller supports up to 250 controller connections, along with controller redundancy for similar controllers on the same ControlNet network.
