The Allen-Bradley 1765-L64 ControlLogix standard controller comes with a user memory of 16 MB for data as well as a 478 KB I/O memory. It also has an optional CompactFlash memory card that is used as a second non-volatile memory for the 1756-L64 controller. The 128 MB 1764-CF128 model memory is the only memory card which is compatible with and works with the Allen-Bradley 1756-L64. The 1756-L64 controller has the capability to handling up to a maximum of 250 controller connections. The scan time for any project loaded in the 1756-L64 controller may be slower than that of the 1756-L6x controllers when loaded with the same project. Additionally, it has the full support for the redundancy of the controller. Like the Allen-Bradley 1756-L64 ControlLogix controller, the ControlLogix 5560 controllers have 3 different controller tasks available including 32 tasks, 100 programs/task, and the event tasks and all the event triggers.
This controller comes with serial port communications options including a DF1 radio modem, DH-485, DF1 full/half-duplex, Modbus via logic and an ASCII option. The 1756-L64 controller supports different communication options, especially the Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, SynchLink, and 3rd party process as well as different device networks. The Allen-Bradley 1756-L64 controller comes with about 128,000 maximum digital I/O; this is same as the maximum total I/O. The 1756-L64 controller has 4000 maximum analog I/O. Some of the only ControlLogix chassis which are compatible with the controller are the 1756-A10, 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A17, and the 1756-A13 chassis. The controller also has a replaceable battery, although it should be replaced using the 1756-BA2 lithium battery whenever it is wanted. It can withstand 2 g of vibration at 10 to 500 Hertz, 50 g of non-operating shock, and 30 g of operating shock.
