The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1756-M02AE is an analog encoder servo module with 2 axes and quadrature feedback. The module occupies a slot in the 1756 ControlLogix chassis and it supports electronic keying. The 1756-M02AE dissipates a maximum of 5.5 Watts, it has a servo loop rate of either 5 or 20 kilohertz, a 32-bit floating point gain resolution, and an absolute position range of +/- 1 million encoder counts. At 24 and 5 Volts DC, the 1756-M02AE has a maximum off-state voltage of 3.5 Volts and 1.5 Volts, and an input impedance of 9.5 kilo ohms and 1.2 kilo ohms, respectively. The 1756-M02AE has an analog voltage servo output that has a 16-bits voltage resolution and a voltage range of +/-10 Volts. Additionally, the servo output has a 25 millivolts maximum offset and an output gain error of +/- 4%. The 1756-M02AE has solid-state isolated relay contact outputs which have a maximum operating voltage and current of 26.4 Volts DC and 75 mA, respectively. The 1756-M02AE is UL, CSA, CE, and C-Tick certified. The analog encoder servo module should be stored within a temperature range of between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius and operated at environments with a non-condensing relative humidity ranging from 5 to 95%. A 36-slot removable terminal block (the 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H) is used to make connections to the 1756-M02AE.
