The Allen Bradley 1756-OC8 8-Point Digital DC Output Module is a 2 Ampere rated 8-point output module of the Allen Bradley ControlLogix controller system, which provides high-speed output signals to ControlLogix Controller in many automated applications. This output module has 8 output points (4 per group) with a minimum possible load of 2mA on each output point and is installed on any compatible ControlLogix chassis using Removable Terminal Block or Fused protected interface module. The 1756-OC8 has a nominal voltage rating of 48 Volts DC, with operating range of 30 to 60 Volt DC, and it draws a 165 mill-Ampere backplane current at 5.1 Volts DC and a 2 milli-Ampere at 24 Volts DC. It has a minimum signal delay time of 2 milliseconds from OFF to ON and 1 millisecond from ON to OFF state, and it has a total backplane power of 0.89 Watt. Each output is designed to accept 2 Ampere maximum output load (8 Ampere for the entire module), and it can withstand 4 Ampere surge, on each output point for 10 milliseconds.

The 1756-OC8 has 1 mill-Ampere maximum leakage current, with 2 Volt DC maximum drop voltage at ON state, and it dissipates 4.9 maximum power at 60 degree Celsius. The output signal is scheduled for 16.7 milliseconds perfectly synchronized output time, and it is programmed to store last operation state in the case of on the output point. This module has 250 Volts voltage isolation between backplane and output, and between group to group using basic insulation type tested at 1350 Volt AC for 2 seconds. The 1756-OC8 offers programmable keying sequence, which helps eliminate guesswork and ensure precise and accurate keying, and also it is mechanically keyed to the Removable Terminal block. It has T4 North America and IEC designated temperature code and is designed to operate without derating under a temperature range of 0 to 60 degree Celsius (32 to 140 degree Fahrenheit). The 1756-OC8 is CE, UL, CSA, C-TICK, EX, and FM certified for use.
