The Allen Bradley 1756-OF6CI 8-Point Analog DC Output Module is a current loop Analog DC 8-point output module in the controlLogix family of high speed I/O modules, which provides shared high-speed output signals between multiple ControlLogix Controllers. This module is installed on the Controller chassis and requires a removable terminal block or a fused interface module (IFM) for installation and all field-side wiring. The 1756-OF6CI has 6 individually isolated 13-bits outputs, with 0 to 21 milliAmpere low signal and high signal user count outputs. This module draws 250 milli-Ampere chassis current at 5.1 Volt DC and 225 milli-Ampere currents at 24 volt DC, and it has a total backplane power of 6.7 Watts at 0 to 550 Ohms load and 8.5 Watts backplane power a 551 to 1000 Ohms load. The 1756-OF6CI unlike most 1756 I/O modules do not have open circuit detection capability, but it provides 24 Volt DC overvoltage protection and also provides short-circuit protection by electronically limiting the output current to 21 milli-Ampere or less.
