The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1756-PA75R is a Redundant AC Power Supply module from the ControlLogix line of products. The panel-mount module comes with a chassis from Series B, which is automated and has the ability to share loads between power supplies that produce excessive amounts of power. Despite this ability, this power supply system is engineered to resolve operational faults in the power supply only. The dimensions (height x weight x depth) of the module are approximately 17.5 x 14.5 x 13.7 centimeters (6.9 x 5.7 x 5.4 inches), and it weighs around 1.45 kilograms (3.2 pounds). The module requires 120 to 220 Volts AC power input, and its input frequency is 47 to 63 Hertz. The isolation voltage of 1756-PA75R is 250 Volts continuous, and the power output it produces is 75 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius. The status of operation of the system can be monitored by status indicators, while the supply status can be monitored using the system recognition relay.

Both the annunciator and conductor of 1756-PA75R are made of a copper wire, solid or stranded, with the annunciator having a Category 3 wire, and the conductor a Category 1 wire. The conductor wire is 2.5 square millimeters (14 AWG) rated at 90 degrees Celsius (194 degrees Fahrenheit), and it has a maximum insulation of 1.2 millimeters (0.047 inches). The annunciator wire can be thinner, and it may range between 0.25 and 2.5 square millimeters (22 to 14 AWG) rated at 90 degrees Celsius (194 degrees Fahrenheit). The annunciator is not rated in terms of duty rating, and the conductor screw torque amounts to 0.79 N-m (7 pounds per inch). This module is highly durable, and it can withstand temperatures as high as 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The IEC / CISPR Publications 11 state that this module is Class 1, Class A Appliance. However, the user needs to bear in mind that radiation and disruption may cause difficulties in achieving electromagnetic compatibility.
