The 1756-PSCA2 is a Chassis Adapter Module for a redundant power supply. Manufactured by Allen Bradley under the ControlLogix series, this module comes with shipping weight of 8.1 ounces and shipping dimensions of 1.38 x 6 x 5.81 inches. It is mounted on left chassis and comes with 3 RTBs featuring a 1756-TBSH or a 1756-TBNH. The module can endure an operating temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius while the recommended storage temperature for the 1756-PSCA2 is -45 to 60 degrees Celsius. The module can be placed on either of the slots on the left side chassis. With a Backplane current of 125 Milliamps at 24 Volts, the 1756-PSCA2 has a maximum power Dissipation of 25.7 Watts at 30 degrees Celsius and at 60 degrees Celsius, the maximum power dissipation is 21.3 Watts. This module provides two redundant power supplies into a single power connector on the chassis backplane and it is also an essential component when it comes to building ControlLogix Redundant Power Supply Systems. Only one of them is required for creating a system and comes compatible with the bulletin 1756-PA75R and the 1756-PB75R power supplies. Being an open type device, the 1756-PSCA2 redundant power supply has a current capacity of 1.5 Amps at 1.2 Volts DC, has 4 Amps at 3.3 Volts DC, 15 Amps at 5.1 Volts DC and 2.8 Amps at 24 Volts DC. Basically, the module is usually mounted horizontally on the left chassis and the left side cable used to connect the 1756-CPR2 to power supply. This cable comes with a bend of 5 inches as the minimum clearance to route and connect parts.
