The 1771-IVN is a DC input module from Allen Bradley. The module has 32 inputs per module and it is installed in the 1771 Input and Output chassis. The 1771-IVN has an input voltage ranging from 10-30V DC, an input current (nominal) of 4.5 milliamperes at +/-10V DC and it has a 1.7 milliamperes minimum off-state current. The 1771-IVN has an impedance (input) of 2.2 kilo ohms, a high-to-low and low-to-high input signal delay of 6 milliseconds, +/- 2 milliseconds. Additionally, the module has a minimum power dissipation of 1.5 watts and a maximum power dissipation rating of 15.6 watts. The 1771-IVN draws a current of 280 milliamperes at 5V DC.
When keying the 1771-IVN module, use pins 14-16 and pins 30-32 for the lower and the upper connector. The module has a maximum and minimum off and on-state voltage of 5V DC and 10V DC, respectively. The isolation voltage for the 1771-IVN is 500V tested for 60 seconds. The 1771-IVN has an operating shock rating of 30g and a non-operating shock rating of 50g. The module operates at environments that have a vibration of 2g at 10-500 hertz.
The 1771-IVN module uses the 1771-WN field wiring arm which has a 7-9-inch pounds screw torque. For wiring purposes, the 1771-IVN uses a wire with a maximum strand of 2mm plus an insulation of 1.2mm. The module has 32 LED indicators which help monitor the status of the 32 inputs and eases the troubleshooting process. The 1771-IVN should be operated within certified industrial environment.
