The 1771-NBSC is a high-resolution isolated analog combination I/O module by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The 1771-NBSC I/O combination module has 8 channels with six of these as 4-20mA current inputs and the other two as 0-25mA current outputs. The 1771-NBSC module draws a backplane current of 2.6A and while in use, this combination module dissipates around 13W worth of power. As part of the N-Series of I/O modules by Allen-Bradley, the 1771-NBSC combination module is designed to be used with any other PLC-3, PLC-5, and PLC-5/ 250 programmable controllers by the same company. The input range of the current in the 1771-NBSC module is 0.1-21mA with an input resolution of 330nA/bit at 16bits unipolar.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-NBSC combination module offers protection against input overvoltage at a rate of 24V DC and it requires 5s of time in order to detect an open input. The minimum normal mode rejection and the typical common mode rejection are 50/60dB and 150dB for the 1771-NBSC module and it is designed to have an under-range threshold of 3.2mA or to have a 21mA over range threshold. The 1771-NBSC module is designed to work with RTP-4 devices and while it comes with a wiring arm called the 1771-WH for easy installation of the module without interfering with the wiring system, make sure to disconnect the power before the module is either removed or installed in the I/O chassis system. For optimal performance of the 1771-NBSC module, the temperature range in the industrial environment should be 32-140oF at 5-95% relative humidity.
