The 1771-NOC is a high-resolution isolated output analog module from Allen-Bradley and it is part of the 1771 Series N high-resolution modules. The module supports current outputs only. The outputs operate within a current range of between 0 and 25 milliamperes. The 1771-NOC has an output resolution of 3.2µA per bit with 13 bits unipolar. The module has an output impedance that is greater than 1Mâ„¦ and an output maximum drive capability of 20 milliamps at 0 to 1 kilo ohm and 25 milliamps at 0 to 700 ohms.
Additionally, the module has an overvoltage protection (output) of 140 Volts AC RMS (continuous), an offset drift rating of +/-1.0µA per degree Celsius, and its gain drift rating is +/-50ppm per degree Celsius. The 1771-NOC has a maximum module update time of about 25 milliseconds and a 500-microsecond settling time for the digital-analog converter. The module has a calibration accuracy (full range) of 0.01% at 25 degrees Celsius and 0.08% at 25 degrees Celsius.
At a minimum of 1% FSR (full-scale range), the 1771-NOC has a ramping value of 0.16 milliamps per second and 32 milliamps per second at a maximum of 200% FSR. Also, the 1771-NOC has a calibration values set 0.5 milliamps per 22 milliamps. The module exerts a current load of 2.8 amps at 20 milliamps and 3.2 amperes at 25 milliamps on the backplane and it dissipates 5 watts of heat at 5 Volts. Ensure proper grounding is implemented when handling the 1771-NOC since the module is sensitive to electrostatic charges.
