The 1771-NR is a high resolution isolated RTD input module from Allen-Bradley/ Rockwell Automation. The module has a length of 4.4 inches, 1.5 inches width, and 11.8 inches height. The 1771-NR module has 8 isolated channels and puts a load of 1.5 Amps on the backplane. The recommended operating and non-operating shock are 30 and 50g, respectively. The module can also accommodate vibration (operating) of 2g at 10 to 500 Hertz and it is UL-listed. For keying, the module uses pins 26-28 and pins 32-34. The input filtering rating for the 1771-NR module is 6-pole (low pass digital filter).
The 1771-NR high resolution isolated RTD input module has an input resolution (depending on the RTD used) of 10 milliohms per bit at 16 bits unipolar; at 0.03 degrees Celsius, platinum has 100 ohms, nickel has 120 ohms, and copper (at 0.3 degrees Celsius) has 10 ohms. The 1771-NR module has an input range of 100 ohms (Platinum.) at 200 to 870 degrees Celsius, 10ohms (copper) at 200 to 260 degrees Celsius, and 120 ohms (nickel) at 80 to 320 degrees Celsius. The 1771-NR module has an upscale open input detection that takes 5 seconds to detect an open input and it has a normal excitation current (RTD) of 1 milliamps. At 50 to 60 Hertz, the 1771-NR has a normal mode rejection of 50 to 60dB and a common mode rejection rating of 150dB.
Additionally, the 1771-NR has a maximum settling time (to within 0.1 percent, full-scale) of 125 milliseconds, an input bandwidth of 9 Hertz, and an underrange threshold of 0.9 ohms (650 ohms overrange). At a minimum of 0.04 percent FSR, the 1771-NR has a rate alarm value of 0.26 ohms per 0.44 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 325 ohms per 550 degrees Celsius at 50 percent FSR. Its accuracy with calibration is 0.025 percent of the full range at 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 0.05 percent of the full- range at 25 degrees Celsius.
