The 1771-OAD is an AC output module from Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The module has 16 outputs, a minimum load current of 5mA/output, and it draws a current of 295 mA from the backplane. The 1771-OAD module has 2 Amps and 8 Amps per output and per module output current respectively. The module has a maximum surge current rating of 25 Amps for 100 milliseconds (repeated after 1 second) per output/module. The on-state maximum leakage current rating for the 1771-OAD module is 3.0 mA for each output at 138 Volts AC.
Additionally, at a load current less than 50 mA, the 1771-OAD has a voltage drop (on-state) of 1.5 Volts while at a load current greater than 50 milliseconds, the module has a maximum on-state voltage drop of 5.8 Volts. The 1771-OAD AC output module has a min. and max. power dissipation rated at 1.5W and 13W, respectively, a max. and min. thermal dissipation of 48 and 5.13 BTU/hour, respectively.
The 1771-OAD module can be installed in the 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, 1771-A4B, 1771-AM1 or the 1771-AM2 Input/Output chassis. Also, the 1771-OAD module has an output voltage range of between 10 and 138 Volts at 47 to 63 Hertz. The 1771-OAD has an off-on, on-off signal delay of 10 milliseconds at 50 Hertz and 8.3 milliseconds at 60 Hertz (zero crossing). For wiring, the 1771-OAD module uses a 14-gauge wire size (strand. max.) with a maximum insulation of 3/64 inches, and the 1771-WH (standard) and 1771-WHF (fused) field wiring arms. The module uses a fuse rated at 10 Amps/250 Volts. For keying, the module uses pins 10 to 12 and pins 20 to 22.
