The 1771-OFE1 from Allen Bradley is an analog output module. The module can convert binary or BCD values to analog outputs. You can connect up to four isolated differential outputs and the voltage ranges are selectable. These voltages are selected through configuration jumpers and can be selected to output voltage ranges from 1 to 5 Volts DC, 0 to 10 Volts DC, or +/- 10 Volts DC. The 1771-OFE1 does not require an external power supply if the power is drawn from the internal power supply of the chassis. The 1771-OFE1 is compliant to the EMC 50081-2 and EN 50082-2EMC directives and the product is intended for use in an industrial environment. The product is also compliant to the low voltage directive. It is necessary to make sure that the connections are made when the power to the system is turned OFF. Not following the instruction may cause damage to the equipment and the module.
The modules should not be placed near to other AC modules and high voltage DC modules but you can connect two output modules in the same group. The power dissipation for the 1771-OFE1 is 7.9 Watts. All the outputs of the 1771-OFE1 are short circuit protected when the device is loaded and does not exceed one minute. The maximum output current per channel is 10 milliAmps. The operating temperature should be 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the humidity of the environment should be 5 to 95%. The 1771-OFE1 is CSA certified, UL listed and CE marked for all applicable directives.
