The 1771-OGC is a TTL output module from Allen Bradley. It has 8 outputs which can source and sink current and the module can be installed in any 1771 I/O chassis slot. It is recommended to keep the ambient operating temperature of the 1771-OGC between 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the 1771-OGC should be stored in an environment having a temperature range of -45 to 85 degrees Celsius. The humidity of the environment should be non-condensing and should be between 5 to 95%. The 1771-OGC requires a power supply of 5 Volts DC and the current requirement id 250 milliAmps with a maximum ripple of less than 50 mV peak-to-peak. The device draws a current of 168 milliAmps when the power is supplied from the backplane of the IO chassis. When replacing the module, it is necessary to turn OFF the power to the I/O chassis. Then place the module on the tracks and slide it into position. Force should not be applied when placing the module with the backplane connector, firmly apply even pressure to seat the connector. Then connect the field wiring arm to the module. The maximum power dissipation of the device is 2.2 Watts and the minimum dissipation is 0.8 Watts.

The device is CSA certified and UL listed. It is also CE marked for all applicable directives. It is necessary to follow proper electrostatic discharge guidelines when installing the module as the module is sensitive to ESD and it may damage the equipment. Keep the module in a static shielded bag when the device is not in used and is to be stored.
