The Rockwell automation/ Allen Bradley 1771-OM is an alternating current output module with 8 output channels. The module draws a current of 225 milliamperes from the backplane and operates within a voltage of 184 to 250 Volts AC. At 220 Volts AC, the 1771-OM module has a minimum per output load current of 60 milliamperes. The per output and per module maximum surge current for the 1771-OM module is 20 Amps repeated each 10 seconds for 100 milliseconds. Additionally, this module has a maximum on-state voltage drop of 1.6 Volts at two milliseconds, a maximum off-state current leakage of 2 milliamperes per output channel, and a signal delay of 1.0 milliseconds and 8.3 milliseconds for the off-on, on-off operations respectively.
The 1771-OM has a power dissipation rating ranging between 1.2 Watts and 13.2 Watts, a thermal dissipation rating of 4.1 BTU per hour (minimum) and 45.1 BTU per hour (maximum). The isolation voltage for the 1771-OM module, is defined by the UL standard 508, CSA standard C22.2 No. 142. For optimal performance of the 1771-OM AC output module, it should be operated within an industrial environment that has a temperature of between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity (without condensation) ranging between 5 and 95 percent. When not in operation, the module should be stored at temperatures of between -40 and +85 degrees Celsius. The 1771-OM module uses the 1771-WA field wiring arm which supports 14-gauge wire size with a maximum insulation of 1.2 millimeters, and a maximum wiring arm screw torque of 9-inch pounds. For monitoring and troubleshooting. The module has LED indicators on its front panel. The 1771-OM module is keyed to the backplane using keying bands between 6 and 8, 28 and 30.
