The Allen-Bradley 1771-OWN is a Selectable Contact Output Module from 1771 series. The module has a total of 32 relay outputs divided into 4 groups with selectable configurations. Every group has its own common. Each of these outputs can be configured to be normally closed or normally open. Operating voltages of these output contacts are 24 to 138 Volts AC or 24 to 125 Volts DC. The 1771-OWN takes power from the chassis backplane - up to 2.5 Amps maximum (1.8 Amps is nominal backplane current load). The user interface of this relay output device is represented through 32 signaling lamps and one blown fuse indicator. You will use hardware setting option to set outputs to be NO or NC configured. Move a jumper to the left for NC operation and to the right for NO operation. Use this unit only with resistive loads.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-OWN contact output module comes in an IP00 open enclosure. It is better protected when installed in I/O chassis. This I/O component should be installed in PLC-5 systems inside of a 1771-A1B through -A4B or chassis. It is also compatible with 1771-AM and 1771-AM1 chassis. The device is intended to be used at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures during operation and stored at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. Output’s maximum load is temperature dependent - maximum load at 45 degrees Celsius is 1.0 Amps continuously at 30 Watts and 0.5 Amps continuously at 15 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius.
