The 1771-OWNA is a Digital Contact Output Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is part of modular PLC-5 systems. The unit is mountable inside an I/O chassis. You need to put this module on chassis guides on any position except the leftmost and push it inside of the chassis. When you are sure that there is a firm contact with backplane pins, secure the module with the locking bar. The Allen-Bradley 1771-OWNA offers 32 contact outputs arranged in 4 groups of 8. It is power supplied through a backplane. When all 32 contacts are activated cumulative load should not exceed 12 Amps. Voltages allowed to be present at contacts are 24 to 138 Volts AC and 24 to 125 Volts DC. This unit is designed to be modular and contact wiring is established through the field wiring arm (cat. no. 1771-WN). This feature allows all terminals to be disconnected at the same time and you don’t have to remove wires to exchange the 1771-OWNA module. Do not remove the field wiring arm or the module from the backplane while the power is on. This can make an electrical arc and cause an explosion in hazardous location installations.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-OWNA is an open enclosed device. You are advised to use it at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures to make longer relay contact life and to be sure that this device will operate as designed. The 1771-OWNA provides 32 status indicators as a user interface on the module front plate. These indicators are on when outputs (that can be configured as NO or NC) are activated.
