The 1771-P4S is a power supply module manufactured by Allen Bradley for PLC 5 systems. It is a chassis power supply for the 1771 PLC 5 module. The 1771-P4S requires an input power supply of 120 Volts AC and the output voltage of the supply is 5 Volts DC. The 1771-P4S can supply an output current of 8 Amperes at 5 Volts DC. The power dissipation of the device is 17 Watt maximum at 8 Amperes when operational. The 1771-P4S can be installed in any one of the slots of the 1771 chassis. The recommended operating temperature for the 1771-P4S is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature is -25 to 80 degrees Celsius. The humidity of the environment in which it is operated should be non-condensing between 5 to 95%.
When connecting the power supply module, it is important to note that the input power is turned off for safety from electric shock and to prevent damage to the equipment. The 1771-P4S has a slow blow fuse with a rating of 1.5 Amps and 250 Volts ac. The input voltage frequency for the line voltage should be 47 to 63 Hertz. The 1771-P4S is UL-listed for industrial control equipment and certified for US and Canada. It also has C-UL certification for Class 1, Division 2 for hazardous locations for Canada. It is also CE certified as per the EMC directives for the European union and has certifications for industrial emissions, industrial immunity. It is also compliant with C-Tick as per the Australian Radio Communications Act and Industrial Emissions.
