The Allen-Bradley 1771-PSC is a Power Supply Chassis with 4 slots, designed for PLC-5 systems. This item provides electrical power through a direct connection or through a cable connection to a Rockwell Automation I/O chassis. This PLC-5 power supply chassis houses 4 slots and it can encapsulate 4 modular power supplies. It can withstand maximum backplane current of 20 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 24 Amps at 55 degrees Celsius. The specific feature of this chassis is that it accepts communication modules to be mounted inside of it. This only stands for communication modules that work with 5 Volts DC power and a processor enable signal. It can connect to a 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B1, or 1771-A4B (series B) universal I/O chassis. The user should be aware that the total power supplies in 1771 I/O chassis must not exceed the 24 Amps limit.
