The Allen-Bradley 1772-LSP digital processor belongs to the Mini-PLC-2/05 Series. This module features a 3K CMOS RAM, a 2944-word data table, and 488 timers. In addition, this module has a 2 Ampere rating for Input/Output modules and a 128 Input/Output device capability. This processor comes with a powerful memory that can store up to 70 messages. Its digital voltage range is rated at 10 to 32 Volts, DC. The signal delays of this powerful module are around 29 +/-8 microseconds and 30 +/-7 microseconds for AC and DC, respectively. The signal delays are only executed when this module is in an off-state. The processor weighs around 0.1 kilograms and measures 4.5 by 12.4 by 6.3 inches, making it one of the most portable processors performing similar industrial functions. The 1772-LSP incorporates an internal battery that acts as a CMOS RAM backup. This battery also powers the PROC run/fault as well as P/S active indicators. The 1772-LSP is outfitted with a 1 Ampere 125V slow-blow fuse, which helps protect against overcurrent and overheating.

The 1772-LSP has connector ports, including an INTFC plus P/S paralleling. Other features of the 1772-LSP include a 15-pin interface port whose contacts are carefully tin-plated and a conformal coating to protect it from overheating. What’s more, the 1772-LSP comes with expanded arithmetic capabilities, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication in addition to the division as well as BCD-to-binary conversions. Other arithmetic capabilities of this module include a remote mode selection and selectable timed interrupts in addition to online programming. The 1772-LSP also has powerful data highway capabilities and a full I/O forcing. When it comes to functionality, the 1772-LSP  is very versatile and can be used in virtually any industrial application. It is portable and has powerful arithmetic capabilities.
