GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
The 1785-M100 is a memory module manufactured by Allen-Bradley Rockwell Automation. The memory device module is a component of PLC-5 I/O processors. The 1785-M100 is compatible with many 1785 series controllers, including 1785-L11B, -L20B, -L30B, -L40B, -L40L, -L20E, -L40E etc. and can be used for program backup. It features an expansion port for control coprocessor. 1785-M100 memory module has 100 Kilowords memory size, and its backplane current should be 2.5 Amperes at 5 Volt DC. Featuring a user-modifiable ROM, the PLC-5 EEPROM memory module allows the user to erase and reprogram ROM multiple times. For this purpose, it should be supplied with higher than normal voltage to erase the memory. It is advisable that the module should not be removed without disconnecting its power supply. The PLC-5 memory device module has been certified by 2004/108/EC EMC European Union Directive and is supposed to be operated indoors due to its vulnerability at high temperatures. The Allen-Bradley 1785-M100 is safe to be used at high altitudes, up to 2000 meters. The module has an operating temperature range from 0 degree Celsius to 60 degree Celsius.
As the terminal is placed inside the enclosure, a storage temperature of 85 degree Celsius and a non-condensing humidity up to 95% can malfunction the PLC-5 system. So, make sure, the enclosure should have proper ventilation and there should be adequate space around the system. The EEPROM memory module can be installed in PLC-5/11, -5/20 and -5/20 controller front panels just beneath the channel communication status indicator at the right-hand side of the front panel. In PLC-5/30 and upgraded versions, memory module installation space is available right beneath the 0-25 D-shell serial port. To install the Allen-Bradley 1785-M100 Memory Module, make sure that the processor and I/O chassis are disconnected from the power supply. First, the processor should be removed from the chassis, and placed on a clean flat surface. Then, push the EEPROM until its bottom flange is tightly secured with the processor’s bottom. Insert the processor back into the I/O chassis and secure it with the latch.
