The Allen-Bradley 1746-OBP16 is a digital output module that belongs to the SLC 500 series of output controllers. It has 16 output points and it is suitable for high-current environments. The 1746-OBP16 operates with a voltage of between 20.4 and 26.4V DC. It draws a 250mA backplane current at 5V and of 0A at 24V. It has a blown fuse indicator where the words “processor error” and a “blown fuse” LED indicator will glow when a fuse blows. The 1746-OBP16 has a removable terminal block. Since it is not electronically protected, an external fuse can be incorporated to cater to short circuit protection although it has a fused common. The 1746-OBP16 is Class 1, Division 2 CSA certified for use in hazardous locations.
