The Allen-Bradley 1747-L524 is an SLC 5/02 processor with a maximum user memory of 4K. As an SLC 5/02 processor, the 1747-L524 offers 4096 inputs and 4096 outputs. The processor has 480 Analog I/O. Users have the option to make use of over 60 module types in the SLC 500 series with this processor including, but not limited to, scanners, communication, digital and analog modules. The 1747-L524 processor has the capabilities to use EEPROM as backup memory. The contents of the processor’s RAM can be saved there, and the data therein can also be loaded to the RAM. The RAM in the processor is also battery-backed as standard procedure.
The processor has a backplane current load of 105mA at 24V DC and 350mA at 5V DC. Program scan hold-up time ranges from 20ms to 3s after power loss, dependent on the power supply loading.
