The Power Modules from GE Fanuc are designed and manufactured to be used in RSTi-EP stations with Fieldbus networks. The Power Modules are also known as potential distribution modules or AUX modules and they are passive rather than active modules. Although the Power Modules are a key part of a Fieldbus system, they do not support any Fieldbus communication of their own. These modules are designed to be mounted easily on a DIN Rail by snapping firmly into place. They support single-wire or fine-wire spring-style connections. The Power Modules come with the V-0 flammability rating and an IP 20 environmental protection rating. They are suitable for use in a variety of non-hazardous indoor industrial environments, but they should be kept away from moisture, dust, and corrosive chemicals, and using them outdoors is not recommended.
The GE Fanuc Power Modules have been rated for safe operation in environments with Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D classifications. They have a shock resistance rating of up to 15 g for 11 milliseconds. The Power Modules come with 16 channels and they are rated at 24 Volts DC voltage. They can distribute either 24 Volts DC or 0 Volts DC from the input current path or from the output current path in the system.
