The IC610MDL156 module is a GE Fanuc output module. A total of 16 output circuits are provided on the IC610MDL156 output module and they are rated for 24 Volts DC. The IC610MDL156 output module is a sink output module. The maximum load current on the module outputs is dependent on the ambient temperature rating. The absolute maximum output current for the output circuits is 0.5 Amps. The number of output circuits which can be in the on state at 60, 50, 40 and 30 degrees Celsius are 6, 8, 12, and 16 circuits, respectively. One LED per output circuit or a total of 16 LEDs are provided on the module’s faceplate. The purpose of the LEDs is to display the OFF or ON state of the circuits.
All 16 output circuits on the IC610MDL156 output module are referenced to a single user-supplied power supply. The output circuits on the IC610MDL156 module are capable of controlling discrete (on/off) loads such as solenoids and motor starters. At 24 Volts DC, the switching capacity of the outputs is 0.5 Amps. The 16 output circuits are arranged in 4 groups of 4 outputs each and a 3-Amps fuse is provided for the protection of each group. An optional cable with the catalog number IC610CBL105 is required to connect the module outputs to the user loads. This cable connects to a 24-pin connector located on the module’s faceplate. The operating voltage for the module outputs is 5 to 24 Volts DC. The maximum rated output voltage is 40 Volts DC. The module power consumption rating varies with the voltage. At 9 Volts DC, with all the outputs on, the current consumption is 40 milliamps which increases to 96 milliamps at 24 Volts DC.
