Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC610MDL166 output module is an analog output module. The IC610MDL166 output module provides 2 independent outputs which can convert 8-bit binary digital data to an analog output signal. The IC610MDL166 output module is compatible with the Series One PLC families including the Series One, Series One Plus, and the Series One Junior PLC families. The IC610MDL166 module requires 16 I/O references for addressing. The ranges for the analog output channels are 0 to 10 Volts DC or 4 to 20 milliamps. The output ranges can be selected through the faceplate terminals. The resolution is 8-bit binary (1 in 256). The digital input data is 8-bits binary from the PLC CPU. An LED display with 16 LEDs is available on the IC610MDL166 output module, with 8 LEDs for each of the output channels, and 8 to display the 8-bit binary output data for each of the outputs.


The operating temperature range for the IC610MDL166 module is from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The recommended range for relative humidity (non-condensing) is 5 to 95%. The output impedance rating is less than 0.5L for voltage output. For the voltage output, the peak output current is 10 milliamps. For current output, the maximum value for the external resistor is 550L. The conversion start time is the start of CPU scan and the maximum conversion time is 10 milliseconds. The module accuracy is 0.2% at 25 degrees Celsius. The module accuracy varies with the temperature and is specified for 30 ppm per 1 degree Celsius. An external power supply rated for 24 Volts DC and 85 milliamps can be used with the IC610MDL166 output module. The module consumes 55 milliamps of current at 9 Volts DC from the PLC backplane.
