Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC610MDL180 module is a relay output module. The IC610MDL180 output module provides 8 output circuits divided into 2 groups of 4 outputs each. Both the output groups can be powered from a separate power source. Each of the output circuits can be used to control discrete on/off loads. Examples of typical loads which can be controlled by the module include motor starters, indicator lights, relay coils, and solenoid valves. The power for field devices needs to be user-supplied. The operating voltage for the outputs is 4 to 265 Volts AC and the supported line frequency range is 47 to 63 Hertz. The maximum leakage current is 1 milliamp. The minimum recommended load is 5 milliamps. The peak inrush current rating is 5 Amps. The off to on delay is 5 milliseconds and the on to off delay is also 5 milliseconds.


One 10-Amp fuse is provided on the IC610MDL180 output module for each output group. The internal power consumption rating is 45 milliamps for each output circuit which is in the on-state. The maximum current for each output in the IC610MDL180 output module depends on the operating voltage and type of load. At 220 Volts AC, the maximum currents for resistive, lamp, and solenoid type loads are 4 Amps, 0.5 Amps, and 0.5 Amps, respectively, and the typical lifespan is 100,000 operations.  At 110 Volts AC, the maximum currents for the lamp and solenoid type loads are 0.1 Amps and 0.1 Amps, respectively and the typical lifespan is 650,000 operations. At 250 Volts DC, the maximum currents for resistive, lamp, and solenoid type loads are 0.3 Amps, 0.03 Amps, and 0.03 Amps, respectively and the typical lifespan is 100,000 operations.
