Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600BF832 Series Six PLC input module is a 115 Volts AC input module for the Series Six PLC system. This module is designed to detect bipolar AC voltage from user-supplied and user-controlled power sources. The GE Series Six product line offers PLCs with a compact and modular design (including I/O modules) that provides application flexibility and cost-effective control solutions. The IC600BF832 input module features 32 optically-coupled input circuits arranged in 4 groups (A, B, C, and D) of 8 inputs each, with each group sharing a neutral common. Each optically-coupled input circuit has a built-in noise filter (for reducing the transient mode), an opto-isolator, and a Schmitt trigger that fires upon the detection of a specific AC voltage range.

 

The IC600BF832 input module requires a user-supplied AC input source for operation. It has a wide operating voltage range (80 to 132 Volts AC) that accommodates a wide range of applications such as limit switches, proximity switches, CAM switches, toggle switches, relays, and monitor applications, and a maximum backplane current draw of 104 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. There is also a 240 Volts DC electrical isolation voltage rating between the user-supplied power source and the Series Six PLC backplane, and there is a transient protection rating of up to 1500 Volts peak (non-repetitive). On the front panel of the IC600BF832 module are 32 individually-labelled (alpha-numeric) LED indicators that show the on/off status of each input circuit. The IC600BF832 input module is installed in a single slot of the GE Series Six I/O rack or the I/O rack section of the GE Series Six CPU. The IC600BF832 input module has an operating ambient range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature range of -20 to 80 degrees Celsius.
