The IC600YB819 Thermocouple Input Module is a Type-R microprocessor-based T/C input module designed by GE Fanuc. It provides electrically isolated inputs for detecting the signals of thermocouple devices. It offers a low cost per input point and a direct interface to thermocouple devices. The power requirement of the module is 5 Volts DC and 1.7 Amps and it is supplied by an I/O rack power supply. These R type inputs require 0 to 21.105 MV with 4.2 degrees Celsius of accuracy when measuring a temperature range of 0 to 1768 degrees Celsius. The IC600YB819 Thermocouple Input Module requires four 8-bit address bytes when transferring data to the CPU. The data from the input channels is sent during the I/O scan.
The IC600YB819 Thermocouple Input Module contains two 4-channel thermocouple conditioners that can be used with a variety of thermocouple types. The input status table of the Series Six CPU is updated with the data that comes from this module. The data includes temperature values, binary information, and channel numbers. It can be installed in an I/O rack in the PLC system. Before installation, make sure to set the DIP switches behind the card slot to reverse a group of 32 consecutive bits properly. This input module can be wired using either a floating thermocouple connection or a grounded thermocouple connection. The thermocouple type of the module is Type R. The calibration procedure of the IC600YB819 Thermocouple Input Module includes an A/D reference trim, offset trim, gain trim, and input channel calibration. This single-slot module does not require an external power supply. This module can be used in a wide range of applications such as injection molding and chemical processing.
